One thing that God has been dealing with me about
is that He does not think
like men therefore He doesn't operate like men. In other words "God's
ways are not our ways are not our ways and God's thoughts are not our thoughts..."
God's ways are strange to the average man. God says that we are to "get
by giving, go high by going low, be great by serving, and win by losing."
Another area in which God is strange in the area of getting the Credit. God
will go, seemingly, 4000 miles out of the way just to get credit for one
single act. In the story of Gideon God is building an army to fight the
Midianites. Gideon gathers 32,000 men who are ready to fight. Now this
sounds like a pretty good number. This sounds like an army that would fight
and when. Do you know what God did? He strips the army down to three
hundred men. Why? Not because the other 31,700 men couldn't fight. But
just the opposite. He knew that they would win because they could fight, but
he didn't want them to say that they won because they fought so good-- God
wanted the credit!!!
Judges 7:2
The Lord said to Gideon, "You have too many men for me to deliver Midian
into their hands. In order that Israel may not boast against me that her own
strength has saved her"
God wants the Credit!!! You see this abiding
principle through out the
scripture. Another instance is Moses. Now according to biblical Historians
Moses had been raised as the son of Pharoah and was being considered to be
the next Pharoah (ruler of Egypt). If Moses would have "played his cards
right" He would have been the greatest ruler of the known world. God could
have then used Moses as Pharoah to free the Isrealites from slavery? Doesn't
that seem an easier way than how God actually did it? Why doesn't God
promote Moses as pharoah and then free the slaves that way? Because the
monarch of Egypt, Pharoah, would have gotten the credit not God. So God
removes Moses from the palace at 40 years old to make him spend 40 more years
in the desert to go back and ask the existing pharoah to "let his people
go."
This is the long way around but God gets all of the credit for miraculously
delivering the Isrealites. Now with these things in mind wouldn't it be so
much easier for a Gospel artist to get the message of God out by joining with
some popular Hip-hop artist. By using the popularity and record sales of an
artist like, Master P, the Gospel artist could get broader audience to hear
the Gospel. But God probably would never do that because Master P would get
the Credit for spreading the Gospel not God. Do you think God needs a Master
P who is not even a believer to help the cause of the Gospel? Do you
understand that under the old covenant God would not even allow the riches
of
noncovenant people to be offered in the temple? Because God does not need
anyone who is an unbeliever to finance anything for him. So why is
the church partering with the world for the sake of getting the Gospel out?
Listen to this scripture:
1 John 2:15-16
Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the
world, the love of the Father is not in him. [16] For everything in the
world--the cravings of sinful man, the lust of his eyes and the boasting of
what he has and does--comes not from the Father but from the world.
Why would God use the World's system to push
the Gospel when God says that anyone who loves the world doesn't
love the Father. So why would I Join with
Destiny's Child who loves the world and doesn't love the Father, to do the
Father's will? When God clearly says that the people who love the world are
not doing his will.
1 John 2:17
The world and its desires pass away, but the man who does the will of God
lives forever. You may say, "Oh, well how do you know Destiny's Child
doesn't love God? Just because they don't sing exclusively Gospel music doesn't
mean they can't be on God's Side."
Listen to what Jesus says:
Matthew 12:30
" He who is not with me is against me, and he who does not gather with me
scatters.
If a person is not openly with Jesus doing His
will then Jesus says they are
against him. If a person is not actively evangelizing and sharing Christ to
bring people into the kingdom they are scattering people away from God. So
if Destiny's Child is not actively involved in getting people saved then they
are not on God's side. Remember God doesn't need the secular industry, the
secular industry needs God.
